When Life Beats You Down
Sometimes
life beats you down really hard, and you must get up from the floor by
yourself, for there is no one to stand by your side and take your hand. You
need courage and fortitude to struggle on, although sometimes you are afraid
that self-pity might take over and you broke down. Trying hard to keep your
faith and optimism despite all you endured you keep going, experiencing all
that you have to, and getting stronger in the process, less stricken by
troubles. The mental toughness slowly developing as you struggle to keep on is
more valuable than physical strength or beauty or anything else you used to
think so much of. You learn
how to make good decisions, balancing out emotions with reason. By
understanding how your feelings affect your actions it’s easier to change your
mind when you realize that sentiments got the better of you. Not that your
heart is not worthy enough to listen to it sometimes. Only you need to know
when it is best to follow your heart, for reason is a good guide most of the
time when small everyday affairs are concerned, but there are some situations
that requires your heart to make the decision. Your soul’s desires can’t be
ignored in such matters as choosing a mate, for instance. Even if you make the
right decisions, difficulties can arise in your way though. Never
try to avoid those hard situations, never make excuses, never complain. Avoiding,
not facing troubles is a waste of time and leads nowhere, sometimes even
increases difficulties. It’s
best to solve your problems as well as you can, keeping your faith in yourself.
And never
for a moment doubt yourself, for it can prove fatal. Just believe that you
can do whatever you need to so that things can go smooth again.
